You will need to get your roller skates on to secure a seat on our 20th of October tour to Gingin.
We leave the club at 9.30am and head to our morning tea stop at West Coast Honey. Freshly made hot scones straight out of the oven on our arrival with tea or coffee. Cost $10. Meet the bees and taste some honey. Why not try chilli, chocolate or perhaps ginger. Bee prepared to have a buzz of a time.
Next stop Gingin. One of the oldest towns in WA and they have retained much of their colonial country charm. We will drive to the various attractions and buildings that are a little out of town. Catherine Church Of Siena, historical railway station and the tourist bureau where you can pick up a walk trail map and find some locally made products.
Lunch option is CU @ The Park Cafe. The café comes highly recommended and you can choose a simple sandwich or have a gourmet meal. They also have a lovely gift shop for you to browse through.
After lunch there will be plenty of time for you to see the wonderfully kept waterwheel or take a stroll along the Jim Gordon boardwalk along trees, ferns following the river.
You can also wander through the old cemetery where you will see a lot of our states floral emblem – The kangaroo Paw.
Enjoy the local buildings that are only a short stroll from beautiful Granville Park.
There are limited seats so sign up and pay to secure your seat. Bus trip registration is on noticeboard the 1st of each month.
