This month we off to Pinjarra then later a short drive to Ravenswood hotel for lunch before heading back to Perth.
First stop the beautiful Edenvale homestead, perhaps enjoy a Devonshire Tea. Maybe a visit to Roger May Machinery Museum. (Entry by donation).
For those that enjoy the outdoors, start at the Edenvale home and take the 30-minute Heritage trail passing under shady trees, walk across the suspension bridge and enjoy the views over the Murray River.
The Ravenswood hotel was originally constructed in 1863 as a large two storey, seven-bedroom home for Captain John Thomas and his family. It is believed his son, John in the 1880s reverted the home into a hotel or Inn as accommodation for travellers and becoming a licenced premise. In the early 1911 it was very popular accommodation for honeymooners.
Today it’s still a very popular destination and has an excellent reputation for meals. Senior menus are available.
Those wanting to go on this trip, need to have names down with payment quickly as bus is filling fast.
Gordon will be our driver for the day.
