What Do We Do?
Come along and let our line dance instructor teach you a fun new skill. Dancing is a low impact form of movement which will also help keep your mind sharp. We dance to a variety of music. Line dancing is an individual activity, no partners required but couples are welcome. Improvers class is held Thursdays 9.30 – 11am $5 per session. A new absolute beginners class Monday evenings 5.30 – 7pm $5 per session. Everyone is welcome to join either or both dance classes.
Thursday 9.30 – 11am
Our instructor is highly qualified in the ‘Yang’ form of Tai Chi, with over 29 years’ experience and has been with our club for 24 years. Ros is very dedicated and offers expert instruction to both beginners and the more practiced class members. The benefits are so rewarding. Ros and the other members offer friendly support and encouragement. $5 a session.
Mondays and Fridays 9am – 10am
Brenda and Barbara are now on hand Monday afternoons to teach the Australian version of Mahjong. While Friday afternoons Henny and Tommy will be teaching the Chinese version. These classes offers an opportunity to socialise and try something new. New players are always welcome. $2 gets you hours of entertainment with tea and coffee as well.
Monday 1 – 4pm
If you have never tried indoor bowls or want to develop your bowling skills further, come along and join our friendly group. We play social roll up and inter-club competitions. New players are always welcome. Where else could you have an afternoon of enjoyment for $2.

Jungle Body- Getlow
A program from Jungle Body, the brand of global exercise and movement-to-music fitness to empower all body shapes, ages, sizes and fitness levels. This is a beat driven low impact workout designed to ignite your mind, move your body & improve your well being. Come along and have a great evening workout with others.

Board games, Card games and Natter
Do you have a favourite board game? Or a game you haven’t played in ages? Come and join us on Wednesday mornings for a few hours of games and gossip. Lou will be coordinating and will help you settle in to your new social group. Please feel free to bring your own board game if there is one you really like. Cost is $2 and covers tea and coffee

Table tennis is the perfect activity to keep you healthy. It keeps your body fit and also your brain. Hand-eye coordination works its magic with our brain cells and helps prevent dementia. Come along and have some fun with other members.

Card Craft Workshop
Come along and have a great morning designing and making your very own personal greeting cards with other members who enjoy all forms of craft. Each month we have a specialized crafter demonstrate and provide tuition for new and exciting projects. From $2
Fridays 10am – 2pm
This is a class for mature seniors at all levels of fitness. No need for fancy gym outfits. Comfortable clothing and walking shoes is all that is needed. Our fitness trainer, Marg combines low impact, strength, stretching, cardio, balance, coordination together with fun and laughter. We do a combination of standing and sitting exercises. The hour session is aimed to lower the risk of falls, maintain strength, flexibility and wellbeing in a socially fun environment. $2
Fridays 10:30am – 11:30am
Every 3rd Wednesday of the month, a bus trip is organised for members to head off on a day’s adventure. We depart from the club at 9.30am and back well before 4pm. This is a very popular event amongst our members and seats go quickly. Thanks to Canning Council for providing a small buses for the club’s use.
The location we visit varies from historical, cultural, flora, entertaining, sightseeing or a lovely outing. Popular trips have been to Pinjarra with lunch at Ravenswood, Noble Falls, Mandurah, York, Mundaring Weir Hotel, Kings Park Spring Festival, Swan Valley, just to name a few.
Depending on the scheduled trip, you can expect time for either sightseeing, morning tea, exploring, shopping and a lovely spot to have lunch at our destination.
To keep the cost of the day to a minimum, the bus fare is currently $8.00

Join us on Wednesday mornings when Timm, a highly qualified chef, originally from Thailand teaches us a new and taste-bud tingling Asian inspired dish. Timm brings the expertise, while everyone enjoys sitting down together to share the delish dish and learning a new skill. $10 per class, spots are limited.
Second and Fourth Wednesday of the month 10.00- 12pm
Come along to see our band practice on Tuesday mornings. The band performs in retirement villages and nursing homes and would surely appreciate the opportunity for feedback and to make sure their music gets the dance-floor tick of approval. Free.
